My Twin Brother
Hello world! Here is a picture of my twin brother and his welcome to the world. It was a struggle for him the first few weeks of life as everyone tried to figure out what was wrong with him. He was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis at only a few weeks old and was projected to only live into his teens.
Like many individuals with CF, my brother has fought for his life. He has never let his disease stop him from doing anything he wanted to do. He has been diligent in his self care and has lived a healthy life, now into his mid twenties.
Colin and his beautiful wife Mandy, like many other CF couples are planning to have children. They are the reason I have started this organization. Our goal is to raise funds to help them and others like them to defray the insane costs of adoption and/or in vitro fertilization.
Another goal we have is to not only raise awareness of infertility and cystic fibrosis but to get insurance companies to step up and include coverage for infertility costs. This is a big task but with your help we can do it.
